Description:
Introducing Spiral3D PLA. The staple filament for your 3D printing needs. Made in Canada, this eco-friendly filament combines affordability with exceptional quality. Experience effortless printing and consistency with Spiral 3D PLA.
With its low warping and wide temperature operating range, Spiral 3D PLA is a solid choice for everyday printing, prototyping and production at a very attractive price. It is tougher and less brittle than standard PLA, ensuring durable and long-lasting models. The wider operating range means that it will be less prone to clogging and under extrusion if your temperatures or speeds fluctuate during a print. Achieve high-quality prints without compromising on cost or reliability and make Spiral 3D Basics PLA the go-to material of choice.
One of the standout features of PLA is its user-friendly nature. It has excellent printability, requiring lower printing temperatures compared to other filaments, which makes it compatible with the widest range of printers. Additionally, PLA has minimal warping and shrinkage, resulting in more precise and reliable prints. Its smooth and glossy surface finish adds an aesthetic appeal to your creations.
Derived from renewable resources such as cornstarch or sugarcane, PLA is considered biodegradable and compostable under the right conditions. This makes it an eco-friendly option for those who prioritize sustainability in their 3D printing projects.
While PLA is not as heat-resistant as some other filaments, it still offers sufficient strength and durability for a variety of applications. It is a relatively rigid material, suitable for producing prototypes, artistic models, educational tools, and functional parts that are not exposed to extreme temperatures or heavy stress.
Spiral 3D uses sustainable Hardboard spools which are recyclable with all other cardboard and paper waste, and in standard sizes that fits most standard spool holders and bays.
Most standard PLA profiles included with your machine will work. Operating temperatures from 190C to 220C recommended. (however, you can increase to 230 if printing at high speeds) Internally tested from 30mm/s to 150mm/s. Works well on Ultimakers, Raise3D pro3 Hyperspeed L1 printing.
